It has happened before and seems to go away on its own after a few days - but I don't want to be in the unknown and pray the IT gods to restore my PC to it's real strength! The HDD will also make that defining "working/grinding" sound whenever any load is applied to the system (though not the very light ones, i.e. Then the programs resume as if nothing happened.įrom then on, even if I reboot my pc, the PC will be slower, more jittery, programs will crash under less load, and this "HDD bootup" thing will happen every now and then. At the same time, the HDD starts to make that "boot-up" noise that is common when booting up a machine with an HDD. The computer has a freeze, lasting about 1.5s. Sometimes I use a lot of heavy-duty programs simultaneously and the RAM reaches close to 100%.
